To the left, to the left

That's the new song by Beyonce and also the new mantra instilled to us by our golf coach.

It was quite hilarious when coach started singing his mantra to the tune of Beyonce's song as a parting note after our 3rd lesson ... haha :)

The golf stance is to shift the hips to the left with the shoulders perked up to the left when doing a swing. Its tough man ... we are just starting on a half swing and putting ... my butt and thighs are sore and aching.

More golf talk later ... meanwhile, its practice practice practice and some mirror work ...

dvb

I'm currently fascinated with the Beckhams ... lapping up on the gossip, the sexy spread on W magazine (ooh!) and the YouTube videos. I'm not so concerned about David here. It's all about Victoria ... she is really really funny! She just cracks me up ... big time!

Caught Vic's interview with Jay Leno a day after the official arrival in LA and I thought she seemed rather normal. I have never seen her so smile so much.

But really, my opinion changed after I caught the first episode of 'Coming to America'. She really is quite a clown! And the epitome of a Stepford Wife android.

In the debut episode, Vic was driving (a lil dangerously) around LA without a valid US license when she was asked to pull over by the police for questioning. And of course, with the paparazzi at large, she exclaimed "I didn't know whether to pose or get arrested!" Poor Vic, life is so confusing ...

And with that incident, Vic had to get a valid US driving license ... you should see her pose for camera. We are talking about the picture to be printed on her license. Seemed like a semi-major photoshoot ... with a stylish pose to boot plus hair and make-up touchups! I was just reeling with laughter!

There are 5 more episodes to go and I can't wait!

Invisible City

A new film by Tan Pin Pin! I loved Singapore GaGa and I can't wait for this one.

Invisible City. Nothing too far-fetched like Quentin Tarantino's SIN City. This one's more heart-warming. Singapura boleh!

"Invisible City chronicles the ways people attempt to leave a mark before they and their histories disappear. From an avid amateur film director trying to preserve his decaying trove of Singapore footage to an intrepid Japanese journalist hunting down Singaporean war veterans, Tan Pin Pin draws out doubts, regrets and the poignantly ordinary moments of these protagonists who attempt immortality. Through their footage and photos rarely seen until now, we begin to perceive faint silhouettes of a City that could have been."

Posters

I just received my stash of posters which I purchased from The Small Stakes.

Well, I haven't actually seen them at this point, but Mum said they were nice! So I trust that they are. At US$25 per piece, it better be!
These are some others which I love but were already sold out. Am contemplating getting some more. A lot of the good stuff are already gone. Am waiting for the next batch to be up to order more. Drop me a line if you are interested and we can split shipping costs!

Now, the next step is getting them framed ...

boxed up

it's time to start packing ... out come the boxes and the dilemma on what to box up and what to trash ... awful process! i have thrown away ALL my magazines, including wallpaper* which i have been hoarding for years *heart ache*. several pairs of shoes have also been discarded. and some clothes have made their to van's closet and for sale online (i hope!).

came across these boxes on sixinch, a european design site with pretty cool stuff ... these psuedo boxes are actual stools!
