Hong Kong Part III

went traipsing along Lai Chi Kok + Sham Shui Po (SSP) for the past 2 days ... both places are wholesale havens ... the former for clothes and the latter for accessories + embellishments ... a must visit for fashion designers ...

Jas has been raving about this Viet place at SOHO ... Nha Trang ... very popular with the guai los ... very crowded ... it didn't disappoint ... pho was yummy (soup base was excellent) ... pomelo salad with grilled prawn was very refreshing and i was pleasantly surprised at how good the fried popiah turned out ... interestingly, i noticed that most patrons ordered garlic bread (so un-Viet right???) ... must have been darn good ... oh well ... until the next time then ...

finally met up with SY in search for goodies at SSP ... had a good lunch around the area ... mala noodles with all sorts of meaty stuff ...

pre-dinner dessert at xi yan (they actually have a branch in Singapore!) ... had the glutinous rice balls with god-knows-what fillings that were sweet + crunchy ... but it was really good anyhow ... it's a very nice place to chill out ... great ambience ... and presentation of food etc is great ... actually went to the same area again (Star/Moon/Sun Streets)... real intention was to check out an eclectic shop : flea + cents ... but alas it was closed for vacation!!! ... will check back soon enough ...

and since i was in a colourful mood ...

need i say more? ;)
